Accessibility Statement

Research Ireland is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020.

This accessibility statement applies to content published on www.researchireland.ie.

Compliance Status

This website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.

Non-Accessible Content

Some content on this website may not fully comply with the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020. For example:

  • Some documents in PDF lack a correct table heading tab order or reading order. Our staff are reviewing and improving the accessibility of PDFs and are working to address identified issues on an ongoing basis.
  • This website uses YouTube to host videos. YouTube videos are embedded in the website using iframes. Some of the components of these iframes may have accessibility issues. Since these are third-party elements originating from YouTube, Research Ireland has no ability to rectify these issues with the iframes code used to embed videos. Our staff continue to seek a solution for these issues.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 10th October 2024 and last reviewed on 19th November 2025. Research Ireland assessed the accessibility of this website using an external evaluation by an external entity.
