For Fellowships

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) contain a range of opportunities for researchers at all career stages to either apply for their own individual funding, or to join an existing large-scale programme funded by MSCA.

All areas of research are covered by the MSCA, including STEM subjects and the social sciences, humanities and economic sciences.

At present, there are no opportunities for students to apply directly to the Commission for individual funding from the MSCA. Instead, students can look for studentship vacancies in Doctoral Network or COFUND Doctoral Programme, where they can begin or expand on their research, and gain complementary and transferable skills training to support doctoral or masters’ degree studies. Vacancies for studentships (termed “Early-Stage” or “First-Stage” Researchers) are posted on EURAXESS Jobs.

The Irish Marie Skłodowska-Curie Office is jointly operated by the Irish Universities Association and Research Ireland. Research Ireland offer a number of funding opportunities.

Researchers holding a PhD can apply for their own Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual funding via the Postdoctoral Fellowships annual call.

Experienced Researchers can also apply for a personal fellowship from one of the over 200 COFUND Fellowship Programmes including the Choose Europe for Science programmes operating across Europe. These programmes are operated by national funding agencies or research organisations, supported by co-funding from the MSCA. Open Calls in COFUND including Choose Europe for Science schemes are published on EURAXESS Jobs.
